Monthly Giveaway — Official Rules

3. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers and contractors of the Sponsor, and their immediate family members and household members, are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

4. How to enter

Subscribe to the Habanero Shaker email list using the signup form on this website. Subscribing is free and no purchase or payment of any kind is required to enter or to win.

One entry per person per monthly drawing period. Your entry remains active for each subsequent monthly drawing for as long as you stay subscribed — you do not need to re-enter. If you unsubscribe, you are removed from future drawings.

Entries submitted using multiple or duplicate email addresses belonging to the same person count as a single entry. Automated, scripted or bulk entries are void.

5. Drawing periods

Each drawing period begins at 12:00:00 a.m. Central Time on the first day of a calendar month and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time on the last day of that month. The giveaway runs monthly until the Sponsor announces on this page that it has ended.

6. Prize

One prize per drawing period: one $20 Amazon.com Gift Card. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $20.00 USD.

The prize is sized to cover the full cost of one Original Habanero Shaker ($9.95) and its standard shipping, whether or not the winner is an Amazon Prime member — so the shaker is genuinely free to the winner. The winner may use the gift card for anything Amazon sells; it is not restricted to the Sponsor’s product.

The prize is delivered electronically to the winner’s confirmed email address. No cash alternative. The prize is non-transferable. The Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable. Total ARV of all prizes awarded in a 12-month period: $240.00 USD.

7. No review or endorsement required

Winning is not conditioned on writing a review, rating a product, or posting anything. The Sponsor will never ask a winner for a review in exchange for the prize, and entering does not obligate you to say anything about the product anywhere.

8. Odds and winner selection

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for that drawing period. Within 5 business days after the close of each drawing period, the Sponsor will select one potential winner at random from all eligible entries.

Each drawing is recorded with the number of eligible entries and a published random seed, so any drawing can be independently reproduced and checked.

9. Winner notification and claim period

The potential winner will be notified by email at the address used to enter. The winner must respond within 14 days of the date the notification is sent. If the winner does not respond within that period, if the notification is undeliverable, or if the winner is found ineligible or declines the prize, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries.

10. Taxes

The winner is solely responsible for any taxes arising from receipt of the prize.

11. Publicity

The Sponsor may publish the winner’s first name, last initial and state (for example, “Margo R., WA”) to show that the giveaway was actually awarded. The Sponsor will not publish a winner’s email address, full name, or any other contact detail, and will not use a winner’s likeness or statements in advertising without their separate written permission. A winner may ask to be identified as “a subscriber” instead.

12. Privacy and your email

Entering subscribes you to the Habanero Shaker email list. We use your email address to confirm your entry, notify you if you win, and send occasional recipes, coupon codes and product news. We do not sell your information. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time — see our Privacy Policy.

Unsubscribing removes you from future drawings. It does not affect a prize you have already won.

13. Limitation of liability

By entering, you agree to release the Sponsor from any liability for any loss, harm, damage, cost or expense arising from participation in this giveaway or from acceptance or use of the prize, except where such a release is not permitted by law. The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, or not received due to technical failure.

The Sponsor may modify, suspend or end this giveaway if fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control compromises the fair running of the promotion. Any prize already awarded will be honoured.

14. Governing law

These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
